Turn Facade Area Into
Active Envelope Infrastructure.

Powerglass supplies CdTe thin-film BIPV glazing systems that replace traditional exterior materials and model on-site generation for developers, architects, and capital allocators.

Solar glazing and photovoltaic glass supply for Canadian fabricators, developers, and architects — solar curtain wall, spandrel, railing, and skylight glazing systems from CdTe BIPV panels.

Material Offset Opportunity

One facade investment. Two functions: enclosure and generation.

Powerglass can replace conventional exterior envelope materials, redirecting part of the planned facade budget toward solar glazing that also generates modelled on-site electricity.

Offset scopes include curtain wall and window wall glazing, spandrel glass, architectural glass, metal cladding, precast or stone-look panels, rainscreen systems, railing infill, skylights, canopies, and specialty facade assemblies.

For Architects

Design Freedom

COM-CA2 and COM-CBS1 support custom imitation textures — stone, wood, vivid colors — for standard curtain wall assemblies. Opacity ranges from T20 to T40. On-site BIPV generation can support LEED Canada (CaGBC) EA Credit: Renewable Energy Production when modelled in your project energy study.

For Engineers

Envelope Safety

Wind load tested to 2400 Pa. ANSI Z97.1 impact-rated. CdTe temperature coefficient of -0.189%/°C engineered for -40°C to +85°C operation without moisture seal failure.

For CFOs

Financial Flywheel

Shift from solar add-on to modelled facade upgrade. CdTe thin-film modules can maintain more linear shaded output than conventional crystalline layouts in dense urban conditions. Lower OpEx can reduce brown-discount risk and support liquidity with institutional buyers.
